The Cove Campaign

I decided to pull my digital socks up and put an end to my shameful blogosphere silence by showing you this lovely infographic from the people behind The Cove. This is a documentary film exposing the slaughter of more than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises off the coast of Japan every year. Their meat, containing toxic levels of mercury was then sold as food in Japan and other parts of Asia, often labeled as whale meat.

This infographic shows the success of the campaign since The Cove was released, but there is still a long way to go.  Please show your support by signing the petition and help stop the horrible slaughter of these beautiful creatures.
